B3 10/100/1000 24/48 port PoE or non PoE Network Switch
Enterasys Networks introduces the SecureStack B3 stackable switch for customers looking for industry- leading performance at an economical price point. The SecureStack B3 delivers line rate switching as well as as policy capabilities that enable customers to deploy a role-based policy on their network.
By offering unprecedented port density in a stackable switch, the SecureStack B3 allows customers to start small and then keep growing. In addition, customers can upgrade their switches to an Enterasys Secure Network via a license upgrade, providing many of the features that make Enterasys Networks known as the Secure Networks company. Enterasys Secure Networks is the role-based security architecture where every user is assigned an easy-to-deploy, yet highly granular role on the network. The SecureStack B3 supports up to 768 policy rules per switch or stack. Once users are authenticated to the network (using 802.1X, MAC, or optional web authentication), they are then controlled according to the rules of their particular role.
The SecureStack B3 provides a low-cost way to build a switched network with extremely high performance. The B3 Switch Family delivers advanced Layer 2+ switching in a single stack with up to 384 10/100/1000 ports and up to 32 Gigabit uplink ports. The SecureStack B3 provides scalable and flexible options with 48-port version with PoE. In the tradition of Enterasys always preserving our customers investments, the SecureStack B3 is fully interoperable and stackable with existing B2 switches. |

A2 10/100 Network Switch
The SecureStack A2 stackable switch family delivers cost-effective Layer 2 switching in a single stack with up to 384 10/100 ports with 16 gigabit uplinks. Reliability and availability is assured with support for Closed Loop Stacking, redundant core connections, redundant power options and redundant stack management.
Each SecureStack A2 switch has two mini-GBIC (SFP) ports and two fixed 10/100/1000 ports that can be used as standard Ethernet uplinks but can also be used as stacking ports that support up to 2 Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth between any two adjacent switches. No additional stack module is required to stack the switches. A single stack can be comprised of any combination of SecureStack A2 switches allowing a mixture of 24- and 48-port 10/100, 100Base-FX and Power-over-Ethernet ports to be linked to the network core via copper, multimode fiber and/or single-mode fiber Gigabit. Closed Loop Stacking is implemented, which assures that a single switch or cable connection failure in the stack will not impact the overall stack operation. The SecureStack A2 stack auto-configures, allowing stack switch units to be added or removed with minimal packet interruption. Up to eight SecureStack A2 switches can be supported in a stack with a single IP address for complete stack management. Redundant stack management is supported by assigning a primary and multiple secondary stack managers. |

Enterasys N Series
Convergence-ready 10GE Modular L2/L3/L4 Switch for Edge-to-Core and Data Center
Enterasys N-Series flow-based switches offer the industry’s most granular visibility and control of individual users and voice/video/data applications. Capable of being deployed as a premium edge access device, distribution layer aggregation switch, enterprise-class core router, or data center server farm solution, the N-Series is the flagship hardware platform for the Enterasys policy-based architecture. Policies ensure only the right users have access to the right information from the right place at the right time — adapting automatically every time there is a move, add or change.
N-Series switches are available in standalone as well as 1, 3, 5, and 7-slot form factors to service a wide range of deployment scenarios. All N-Series offerings leverage the Enterasys DFE architecture whereby the switching, routing, and management control functions are embedded in each module, delivering unsurpassed reliability, scalability and fault tolerance. Customers can quickly and cost-effectively add connectivity as needed while scaling performance capacity with each new blade. The DFE high-availability architecture makes forwarding decisions, enforces security policies and classifies/prioritizes traffic. DFEs ensure the highest Quality of Service for critical applications such as voice even during periods of over-subscription — while proactively preventing Denial of Service attacks.
Unlike competing solutions, the N-Series implements a granular flow based architecture to intelligently manage individual user and application conversations—not just ports or VLANs. Policy rules combined with deep packet inspection can intelligently sense and automatically respond to security threats while improving reliability and quality of the user experience. NetFlow data can be collected at wire-speed without sacrificing performance or requiring sampling techniques. The N-Series is also the only enterprise switch to support multi-user, multi-method authentication on every port — absolutely essential when you have phones, computers, printers, copiers, security cameras and badge readers on the network. |
